meet your host

Born and raised in Bellevue, Washington, Brittany always had the urge to explore new places, meet interesting people and experience life in all of its rich diversity. Brittany landed in NYC at 30, single, with 1-2 friends in the city- and now 7 years later she calls it her greatest love yet and home.

Brittany Allyn is a social unicorn – there is really no one like her online. She has cultivated an engaged audience of women from almost every continent feeling inspired to live their authentic timelines and make friends online and IRL.

She inspiring thousands of women all over the world to embrace their inner-independence and live life free of society’s pressures. If you pop onto her private FB group, you’ll see meetups happening around the world on a daily basis. Brittany has given women a resource that’s invaluable… each other.

Travel has always reinvigorated my soul and given me understanding and love for my own unique journey, and organizing a group of women to do it together will be so powerful. I know this is going to feel more special than a girl’s trip...it means so much more.

Travel has always reinvigorated my soul and given me understanding and love for my own unique journey, and organizing a group of women to do it together will be so powerful. I know this is going to feel more special than a girl's trip...it means so much more.

With Morocco's colors, textiles, food, and setting I have no doubt this will be one of the most memorable trips of our lives. I've incorporated my style in every single part of the planning process from hotels, meals, spa days, tours, shopping, food, and I even hired a photographer for us. :)

I am so excited to meet some of you in person and to bond and build memories together. I believe this retreat will be an unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling more complete. There are limited spots available so be sure to sign up as soon as you can!

locations

the places we are staying at have all been hand-picked as luxury boutique stays that are quintessentially moroccan. the first hotel is Riad Palais Blanc, an all white riad that will sooth you after your flight and contrast to the colours and energy of the medina. the location is walking distance to Marrakesh’s iconic sites. there’s also a pool and spa for down time. the Riad is an old manor house and has been designed according to Moroccan traditions with a mixture of Italian taste. all rooms have a private veranda furnished with comfortable sofas where you can enjoy your tranquility. after two nights here, we head to the desert to stay at luxury tents with breathtaking mountain views in the Agafay desert. here the stars will be unforgettable. there is a mix of standard tents as well as bubble tents as well as a long pool.

back to Marrakesh, you will then check in to La Maison Arabe, a 5 star hotel that is uniquely moroccan and has been awarded accolades such as best 25 hotels in the world and best hotel in Africa. there is a pool, spa and wellness centre. the rooms are set around the patio or on the garden side of the hotel, and each room is unique in layout and design, combining contemporary elegance with Moroccan decorative elements. most have a fireplace and a private balcony or terrace where you can enjoy a drink under the stars. the bathrooms are crafted from Moroccan marble and granite.

FAQs

How do I apply?

We want to create a safe space that allows for a great group dynamic. We therefore ask that you apply for a place. We have been overwhelmed with interest for this trip, and unfortunately we can only take a small group of women. The minimum group size will be 12, the maximum will be 16. Please apply and we will be in touch if your application is successful. You will then have 24 hours to secure your place, before the spot is offered to another applicant.

How will we experience awe?

Everyday you will be inspired and exposed to a stunning city, architecture, philosophy. This itinerary is brimming at the gills with history and inspiration. You’ll experience medinas, desert landscapes, mountains, cities that inspired the greats. This is the trip of a lifetime. Britt has designed the trip so it will be an amazing way to make life-long friendships.

How is the trip themed?

The trip is designed to expose you to as much stimuli and inspiration as possible. While our focus is on luxury and design, thanks to our host, Brittany Allyn, we will visit icons of architecture, design, gastronomy and indulgence. This can all be used as a jumping point for creativity, reading, and writing. We like our trips to be eye-opening and transformative, so will send you a reading list prior to the trip so you will learn the words that Morocco has inspired.

How do I get there?

Our journey begins and ends in Marrakesh so fly into RAK, Marrakesh Menara Airport. Your tour guide will pick you up via one group departure in a private shuttle and take you to your accommodation. Flight details are needed 30 days in advance. Formal activities start at 4pm, so you’ll have time to relax for the afternoon and check in at 2pm to shower after your flight.

What is the rooming configuration?

There are two options - a shared option on a twin share basis, so you get to know your fellow travellers and have a bestie for the entire journey - as well as a private option. Private rooms are limited, so let us know your preference and we will try our best to accommodate.

When should I book my flights?

You will receive an email to book your flights once you have paid your deposit.

How can I pay?

Pay the deposit once offered a place, and we will contact you for final payment due 60 days prior to trip departure. We also have flexible payment plans so you can pay in instalments that work for you - just email us at operations@aweventurer.com to set it up. Final payment will be via bank transfer. We recommend using Wise, which is also a great way to pay while you’re on the trip - a digital safe app with preferential foreign currency exchange rates. If you’d like to pay the remainder by credit card, there will be a surcharge.

How many people are on the trip?

Minimum 12, maximum 16, for a great group dynamic.

  • Day pack for carrying essentials.

  • Comfortable walking shoes with good grip.

  • Sun protection - a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen.

It is required for all travellers embarking on an Aweventurer trip to have travel insurance.

Will I need a visa?

Obtaining a visa is the individual responsibility of the traveller. Please note that entry requirements can change at any time. Be sure to check with your government’s foreign travel advisories and consular websites to ensure you have the correct information.
