you are invited to join denée for an unplugged retreat nestled along the sun-warmed coast of portugal. this intimate escape is designed to strip away the noise and bring you back to yourself through journaling, meditation, and the kind of real, unhurried connection that only happens when the screens go away.

this retreat is a gentle invitation to put the phone down and remember what it feels like to be fully present. mornings spent breathing and meditating as the light comes in, afternoons with a pen in your hand and nowhere else to be, and evenings around the table with people who actually see you. no performances, no posting, no pressure just you, exactly as you are.

this isn't about optimizing or improving. It's about coming home to yourself. slowing down long enough to hear your own thoughts, sitting with the discomfort of stillness until it becomes peace, and finding the kind of community that only forms when everyone agrees to just show up.

you'll leave portugal feeling lighter, more grounded, and reconnected to the parts of yourself that get buried under the noise of everyday life.

invitation from denée

Hey you,

I’ve been thinking a lot about how some of the most defining moments in my life didn’t happen when I was working harder or doing more, but when I stepped outside of my normal environment.

Travelling. Being somewhere unfamiliar. Spending time around people who saw the world differently than I did. Those moments gave me space to reflect on who I was, how I was living, and what I actually wanted my life to look like.

This retreat is my way of creating that kind of space, intentionally.

For a few days, we’ll step away from the noise. No doom scrolling, pressure to work, or need to keep up. Just time to slow down, be present, and reconnect with yourself in a new environment.

Mornings will begin gently, with movement, whether that’s yoga or pilates. Days will include workshops and conversations designed to help you reflect on your patterns, your beliefs, and the way you’re currently moving through life.
There will be space for culture, for exploration, and for simply being.

We’ll also spend time exploring what a life of autonomy can actually look like in practice, with a dedicated session on building your own path through freelancing and independent work.

You’ll be surrounded by a small group of women who are thinking deeply about their lives, who are ambitious in their own ways, and who are open to change.

My intention is that you leave with more clarity, a stronger sense of self-trust, and a different relationship with the life you’re building.

If this feels aligned, I would love for you to join us. Spots are extremely limited, so if this feels aligned, I’d encourage you to secure yours.

Warmly,
Denée

about the host

Denée is a freelance marketer, YouTuber, and the founder of She Freelances™.

Through her content, she shares her perspective on building a life rooted in autonomy, fulfillment, and self-trust. Her work explores identity, how we live, what we prioritise, and what it looks like to step away from “scripted paths” and create something more intentional. Much of it centres around logging off, being present, and building a life that feels aligned.

Alongside this, she has built a career as a freelance marketer, working with ecommerce brands and helping women create independent, flexible paths in the digital economy through She Freelances™.

Her perspective has been shaped by travel, stepping into new environments, immersing herself in different cultures, and spending time around people who live and think differently.

This retreat is an extension of that. A space to slow down, step offline, and reconnect with yourself, alongside a group of women doing the same.

accommodation

we’ll be staying in a restored 17th-century italian villa nestled in the rolling hills of perugia. surrounded by olive groves and perched at the foot of mount serano, the villa is steeped in history and charm. each room is thoughtfully decorated with antique furniture and traditional artwork, offering a cosy and elegant place to rest. the grounds include a peaceful garden, a sun-drenched swimming pool lined with flowering oleanders, and quiet corners perfect for journaling or a morning coffee. the villa’s central location allows for easy access to the cultural gems of the region, from perugia to assisi, while still feeling worlds away from the rush of everyday life.

location

stretching along portugal's sun-soaked southern edge, the algarve is where dramatic limestone cliffs meet impossibly blue atlantic waters. colourful fishing villages, fresh catch on every menu, and a slow, sun-warmed rhythm of life make this one of europe's most beloved coastlines. beyond the beaches, you'll find moorish ruins, terracotta rooftops, and a culture that has been quietly perfecting the art of good living for centuries. wild, warm, and endlessly beautiful, the algarve is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
