invitation from maya

To my besties,

As many of you know, doing things solo has been a major trend throughout the beginning of my twenties.  It pushes me into uncomfortable situations that have blossomed into the most beautiful experiences.  With that being said, I would love to personally invite you to my stunning reading retreat on a beautiful Greek island this spring.  The challenge?  Come alone, and leave with connections you’ll want to keep forever and a trip you’ll never want to forget.  AND!  Come ready to read.

This trip is open to the girlies with 100 books on their TBR or the girlies who are just starting their reading journey.  All readers and lovers of these crazy fictional worlds are welcome!

We will combine fun activities like a boat day on the beautiful Greek waters, a cooking class in our stunning villa, morning yoga to relax and reset, and cozy movie nights and reading sessions to bond and connect.

After this trip, you’ll be able to say you’ve done a book club abroad. Feel free to come with your own reading material, but also know that our “book club” selection for the trip will be provided so we can read and debrief (maybe kick our feet and giggle) together.

I’m looking forward to meeting you, making new friends, and having the best girls’ trip ever with you guys!

why a reading retreat?

in a world that moves too fast, a reading retreat offers something rare: space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect—with yourself, with words, and with other women who feel the same pull toward quiet and meaning.

this retreat is designed to be restorative at its core. whether you’re craving stillness, looking to spark your creativity, or simply want to read without interruption, you’ll find room here to exhale. days are shaped gently around moments of solitude and togetherness—yoga and meditation, nourishing meals, and meaningful conversations sparked by the books we carry with us.

our reading retreat is designed to be super informal and relaxed — a true escape from pressure and expectation. if you prefer a more laid-back environment, you’re in the right place. there’s no obligation to share your thoughts or join group discussions unless you feel like it; you’re welcome to simply enjoy the space, the books, and the peaceful surroundings at your own pace.

for women who don’t always want to be “on,” who prefer softness over small talk and depth over distraction, this is a space to feel fully yourself. you’ll have the chance to meet like-minded women—introverts, creatives, deep feelers—and form quiet, genuine connections without pressure.

whether you're writing, resting, or simply reading by the pool, you'll return home feeling replenished, re-inspired, and more rooted in your inner voice.

accomodation

we are staying at a group of luxury intimate hideaways nestled in the greek island of zakynthos. the villas are one of the most inspiring spaces you could find. the classic cycladic architecture is an overwhelm of azure sea and natural design, with views of the island landscape. the dreamy architecture is complemented by private pools. each villa has a glorious view of the sparkling ionian ocean and lush hillside decorated by olive and cypress trees.
