the english classics literary retreat
27th - 30th November 2025 - 4 days
Starting from - £1,500 / Deposit (Payment plans available)
you’re invited to reconnect with the land, your creativity, and a slower way of being on our regenerative literary retreat, a 4-day experience set deep in the english countryside, where ancient forest, open meadows, and flowing rivers create the perfect setting to rest and reflect.
rise with the rhythm of nature, begin each day with gentle yoga, and spend your time reading, writing, foraging, or simply wandering through wild spaces designed to let both people and ecosystems thrive.
with nourishing food straight from the land, evening book club gatherings, and cozy, elegantly simple spaces to retreat to, this experience is for anyone who finds clarity in quiet, beauty in words, and meaning in deep connection.
your awe moment - wild crafting workshop
One of the most cherished moments of our retreat is the wild crafting workshop - a creative, nature-based experience that offers space to slow down, connect deeply with the land, and make something beautiful with your hands.
In this guided session, you’ll be invited to work with an abundant selection of flowers, branches, herbs, and seasonal elements, all thoughtfully foraged from the land where we’re staying. These natural materials become the palette for your own living creation - whether that’s a wreath, altar piece, or another form that reflects your style and intention.
This is not about perfection or following rigid instructions. It’s about being present, tuning into your surroundings, and letting your creativity flow through your connection with nature. Along the way, you’ll learn about the properties of seasonal plants and some fundamental wild crafting techniques that you can return to again and again.
The session is both reflective and hands on, encouraging mindfulness, play, and a deeper appreciation for what the land offers. You’ll leave not only with a beautiful piece made by you, but also with inspiration to bring this practice into your everyday life. And of course, your creation comes home with you - a tactile, living reminder of your time here.

why a reading retreat?
Come for the books. Stay for the people who love them like you do.
There’s something rare about finding your people. It’s those who speak in dog-eared quotes, who light up at the mention of a beloved author, who know the joy of a day spent in silence together, each lost in a different world.
A reading retreat is about more than finishing the books that have been quietly waiting on your shelf. It’s about rediscovering your creative spark, remembering what moves you, and letting literature do what it’s always done best and remind us we’re not alone.
These retreats are crafted for curious minds and open hearts. Whether you’re a writer, a deep-feeling reader, or simply someone longing to connect over something real, you’ll feel at home here.
What you’ll find:
Like-minded women who value meaningful conversation and time to reflect
A thoughtfully curated reading list by a professional bibliotherapist, designed to match the place and its stories
The luxury of uninterrupted time to read what you’ve been meaning to, with no guilt and no pressure
Workshops, journaling prompts and inspiring rituals to gently awaken your creativity
The joy of talking about books under the stars, over spritzes, in tucked-away cafés and sun-drenched courtyards
You’ll leave with your TBR pile lighter, your heart fuller, and a few new lifelong friends — the kind who understand why a book can change everything.
We’ve hosted journalists, novelists, first-time solo travellers, and women who just needed a beautiful pause. Everyone leaves a little more inspired. A little more themselves.
“The locations we visited were also amazing and curated to our “book retreat” theme. The Jane Austen museum was my personal favorite, especially the dress-up aspect of the Centre. I spent most of my money at their gift shop. Having the Mary Shelley museum as our first visit was ironically a fun bonding experience.”
